Joseph Postman

Joseph will work closely with David Neale and Amit Dhingra to facilitate resequencing of the entire NCGR collection.

As curator of the pear and related general collection, Joseph acquires new germplasm from foreign and domestic sources and oversees maintenance of clones of specific genotypes in greenhouses, screenhouses, field collections, and as tissue cultured plants or seed. He also evaluates germplasm for important diseases, such as pear scab, providing important phenotypic information. Joseph will work closely with David Neale and Amit Dhingra to facilitate resequencing of the entire NCGR collection.

Dr. Stefano Musacchi

Stefano will work closely with Kate and, Amit, on all aspects of pear germplasm importation and evaluation.

Stefano arrived at WSU in 2013 from the University of Bologna, Italy as Endowed Chair of Tree Fruit Physiology and Management, and is quickly developing a program focused on orchard management, training systems, rootstocks and cultivar evaluation, light interception, production processes, fruit quality, graft-incompatibility, and saline stress.
